Salamanca Press – House passes Reed bill securing $75M a year for West Valley cleanup

March 9, 2013 –  U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, announced last week the House had passed his bill to authorize $75 million annually for the West Valley Demonstration Project through 2026 to secure and remove nuclear waste from the site passed the House of Representatives. 

“We are proud to be an unrelenting advocate for West Valley and care about ensuring a fair amount of funding for the complete and total cleanup of this nuclear site,” Reed said. “This bill offers clarity for our friends and neighbors and ensures the health and safety of our environment for years to come.  Link to article
