Springville Times – WVDP safely relocates high integrity containers

May 24, 2019 – EM and its cleanup contractor CH2M Hill BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) recently completed the relocation of 69,000-pound High-Integrity Containers (HIC) from their location inside the Fuel Receiving and Storage (FRS) facility at the West Valley Demonstration Project. Link to Article

Springville Journal – WVDP presents checks for site support

May 24, 2019 –  Representatives from the U.S. Department of Energy, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC presented checks on April 23 to Springville Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Mercy Flight and the West Valley Fire District 1 on behalf of the West Valley Demonstration Project.  Link to article

March 28, 2019 –  Jessica Krzemien, a deactivation and decommissioning (D&D) waste operator at EM’s West Valley Demonstration Project (WVDP), began learning to respect and care for the environment at a young age. Link to update

May 22, 2019 – The Buffalo-Niagara unemployment rate dropped to another modern day low. Link to article

Springville Journal – Town Hears Updates at WVDP

May 16, 2019 – As decommissioning work continues at the West Valley Demonstration Project, the Ashford Town Board heard the latest updates at its May 8 meeting. WVDP Director for the US Department of Energy Bryan Bower reported about recent contract modification proposal from CH2M HILL BWXT. Link to article
